From reporter to marketing content producer to PR pro, Kylie’s natural tendency toward creating and sharing narratives has shaped her career—most of which has been spent in some form of higher education storytelling.
Kylie brings experience in identifying compelling stories, an ability to draw out illuminating but accessible expertise from campus leaders and a deep understanding of how higher ed institutions run and the challenges they face. For TVP Communications, she leads social media strategy and provides best practices, crafts and edits insightful thought leadership pieces and assists with pitching stories and experts to national media. She holds a certification in Social Media Marketing & Strategy from the Boot Camp Digital Institute.
Before she joined the TVP Comms team in 2017, Kylie’s most recent position was as content marketing manager for edtech company VitalSource, where she worked directly with high-profile institutions to highlight and share the innovative ways they make succeeding in college and obtaining degrees more affordable and attainable for all students.
Her passion for writing and talking about education was born in her prior role at University Business and District Administration. Through the course of her tenure, she served in a variety of positions, including associate editor, special projects editor and content marketing editor. She worked with higher ed and K-12 companies to develop consumable, effectual print and digital sponsored content. She also produced editorial features and news pieces on critical issues such as driving down student loan default rates, unique campus financing initiatives and improving learning outcomes.
Kylie originally hails from outside New York City and has bounced around New England since obtaining a bachelor’s in English at the University of Rhode Island.
She spends her free time cheering on her favorite sports teams, reading food blogs and planning her next vacation.
