Partnership with United Educators, Upcoming Events

I’ve had a bit of blog block lately, but I’ve been inspired by some exciting news and my upcoming calendar to write a lengthy post.

First, I am truly honored to announce that TVP Communications has partnered with United Educators, the leading provider of risk management and liability insurance to educational institutions, to provide crisis communications coverage to eligible UE members.  We are a pre-approved crisis communications service provider for UE’s member schools, colleges and universities that may require specialized planning and communications services for a covered crisis event.

Continuing on the crisis vein, I’m excited to present on communications, including crisis, at the Association of Governing BoardsNational Conference this coming weekend (April 22). Why so excited? I’m presenting with Paul Fain, senior reporter for Inside Higher Ed.  My respect for him is immense (and he’s a nice guy!).  It’s sure to be a great, great time!

On Thursday, April 26th I will be presenting alongside Kyle Gunnels at the PRSA CHE Senior Summit.  We’ll be chatting about communicating with and about intercollegiate athletics.

June holds a special place in my heart because I have my annual media training with the ACE Fellows.  On June 4th I have the pleasure of sharing some pro-bono thoughts on how best to prepare for an interview.

Also, mark your calendars!  On July 16th I will co-present at the CASE Summit 2012 with Dr. Jonathan Gibralter from Frostburg State University on crisis communications.  This will be my first time attending the Summit—check out the schedule, because it looks amazing.

As always, I love when people say “hi” at conferences and I welcome calls to talk through any situation you may be facing.  We genuinely mean it when we say you don’t have to be a client to give us a call J.
