We are strong proponents of professional development and advancing our fields. As a result, the TVP Communications team will be busy this summer and fall leading and facilitating important conversations about higher education leadership, reputation management, and communications. Below is the current list of the upcoming presentations that we will be leading and attending. Feel free to reach out to us if your calendar overlaps with ours or if you live near where we will be traveling. We’d love to say hello or grab coffee with you!
June
20: Moderated by President Barbara Mistick, Teresa will serve on a panel alongside Joel Buckman, and Executive Director Leslie Reynolds for a NAICU webinar on “Managing Election Season on Campus in Divisive Times.”
23: Teresa and Dr. Ken Carter will share a fireside chat on “Bridging the Gap: Strategies for Building Strong Faculty-Marketer Alliances” with attendees of the College News Association of the Carolinas conference.
26: Serving as the closing keynote speaker for the CASE Annual Conference for Marketing and Branding Professionals in Chicago, Illinois, Teresa will talk about “Staying Safe and Strategic in an Election Year.”
July
8-11: A week-long adventure, Teresa will serve on the faculty for the CASE Summer Institute for Communications and Marketing in Madison, Wisconsin, and will present on media relations, crisis communications, and communicating in a political environment and will co-lead a session on impact reporting.
20-23: Erin will be attending the NACUBO Annual Meeting in Chicago and is “very interested in your thoughts on deep dish pizza.”
23: Teresa is slated to moderate a panel on “Bolstering Advancement and Communications Partnerships for Brand Resilience and Elevation” at the CASE Summit for Leaders in Advancement in New York City. The panelists will include Cutler Andrews, Luke Anderson, Abbigail Tumpey, and Jennifer Howe.
24: Erin will present to the Mellon Fellows from the NY6, Associated Colleges of the South, and Associated Colleges of the Midwest on crisis communications in New York City.
September
12-13: Erin will present how chief financial officers and their teams can serve as spokespeople for their institutions at the NACUBO Fellows meeting in Washington, DC.
October
October 13: In Anaheim or Southern California? Meet up with Kristine and Teresa, who will attend the PRSA Leadership Rally in Anaheim, California, to talk about our grand plans to see Los Angeles (even though we won’t get around to it).
14: Another day, another PRSA event! This time Kristine and Teresa will be attending the PRSA Assembly meeting as a delegate and board member, respectively.
15-17: If you plan to attend the PRSA ICON conference, look for Teresa and Kristine to say “hello” and share your favorite Disney ride with us.
November:
10-13: Attending AMA Symposium for the Marketing of Higher Education? Look for Teresa, who will be MCing the conference as co-chair, and members of the TVP Communications team who will be in attendance. Teresa can’t wait to see you in Las Vegas and celebrate her milestone birthday!
